Exactly what I try to tell people. Linux is for the long term. If you want to be using it a long time from now you better get started trying to make it run immediately. :)
You got my 5! Either the downvoters misunderstood you or it was me...

Your humor is twisted! I like it. :-D Your comments also have quite a bit of truth. Then again... Just because someone got Fedora Core X to install by taking all the defaults by no means makes them a computer expert. Everyone else seems to understand this except the person doing the installation. :sigh: Then we are blessed by the presence on the web until high school makes them too busy to do the computer thing for a while. Then they get to college and become art majors. Reminds of a joke my friend told me (My friend *IS* a successful artist.). What's the difference between an Art Degree and a large pizza? A large pizza can feed a family of four. :-D

Welcome to CP in your language. Post the unicode version in My CP Blog [ ^ ] now.People who don't understand how awesome Firefox is have never used CPhog[^]CPhog. The act of using CPhog (Firefox)[^] alone doesn't make Firefox cool. It opens your eyes to the possibilities and then you start looking for other things like CPhog (Firefox)[^] and your eyes are suddenly open to all sorts of useful things all through Firefox. - (Self Quote)

It depends on how you define short. For some short is a million years. For some long might be 5 seconds.

Let's not forget the 'FRAME'work around the glass, it is coming apart too... By the way, do you think that expensive plastic surgery called VISTA will make a difference in the long run?:-D
Make a difference with what? 13 year olds crying the demise of Windows in a software development message board? Nah, I don't think anything but high school will help that. If those same people are lucky enough they might scrape their way through college and hopefully that will keep them from making flimsy predictions based upon nothing factual. I mean at least in college (most of the time) you have to provide facts, reasoning and justifcation for claims. No, I don't think anything will prevent dumb people from saying dumb things... You'll just keep doing it.
