Any biker around here, I am just starting, they told me this one is good for a beginner like me. I had speed bikes when I was young. It's probably 250cc or 350cc then, and they are right. My Rebel was a 250cc and I'm so glad I learned on it. After driving other people's bikes I soon realized that if you just stare at the throttle hard enough the bike moves, and it's so easy to pop a wheely it's crazy. I loved the Rebel because it would move fast and had no probelms lugging a 250lb guy around at 80mph. If I ever got another bike I'd probably at least go with 600cc, but I've spent many of fun times on that Rebel. Jeremy Falcon

That's cool. My last bike was a Honda Rebel '76 model (my cousin totaled it though). I'm glad they are making them again. How many CCs is it? Jeremy Falcon

Now that I am older I am not fund of speed. But I am a fan of bikes and cruising with one. Love riding (without many cars around me) I'm scared of drivers that don't pay attention. I look for 2 lane roads to travel, like going up the mountains. I don't like freeways with bikes. Not interesting and too many lane changing. Don't know if I ever going to get something bigger. I guess that as I get more confident I would like something with longer gears. However I love the way the rebel rides. Very solid!! I am in love Al My eMail control My Blog

It only gets worse on a bike. I'm amazed some people are allowed to drive. Only bad thing about the bike is its horn sounds like a constipated bird trying to chirp. If someone's gonna pull out in front of me, I'd like to scare the daylights out of them with my horn but alas.

Yup. And the fact they aren't too wide makes it easier to do doughnuts. I found that out in a muddy field one day. Jeremy Falcon

I've got a bike, you can ride it if you like. It's got a basket, a bell that rings, and things to make it look good. I'd love to ride in the California weather, but I'm on the other side of the world, in the middle of a wind storm that ripped the door off my ute ( pick up truck for you Americans ). Well, New Orleans isn't much better. Here you have to watch out for the massive holes in the roads. I enjoy a good bike ride, but I wouldn't get another one until I moved away from here. Jeremy Falcon

They make airhorns for motorcycles now, so you can sound like a truck if you want. [M/C Airhorns^] Hmm.. if that link looks bad, sorry, it's my first post here and you can only learn by doing. Mike Poz

Yup. One of my brothers turned me on to that album years ago... we'd be out picking rock in the fields, and he'd get everyone singing "The Gnome". And FWIW, my bike does have a basket, but i opted for the horn instead of the bell...
