I reckon the Kawasaki KLR-650 has to be an all time classic , pretty much good for everything although slightly heavy , very popular with millitary apparently:rolleyes:

ROTFL - brilliant. Yeah, I have to say the song makes it seem that boys rode girly bikes in Britain in the 60s... Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++ Metal Musings - Rex and my new metal blog

It only gets worse on a bike. I'm amazed some people are allowed to drive. Only bad thing about the bike is its horn sounds like a constipated bird trying to chirp. If someone's gonna pull out in front of me, I'd like to scare the daylights out of them with my horn but alas.

Yup. And the fact they aren't too wide makes it easier to do doughnuts. I found that out in a muddy field one day. Jeremy Falcon
They make airhorns for motorcycles now, so you can sound like a truck if you want. [M/C Airhorns^] Hmm.. if that link looks bad, sorry, it's my first post here and you can only learn by doing. Mike Poz

Yup. One of my brothers turned me on to that album years ago... we'd be out picking rock in the fields, and he'd get everyone singing "The Gnome". And FWIW, my bike does have a basket, but i opted for the horn instead of the bell...

That's cool, the horn redeems it. It makes the bike, well.... Cool - I thought perhaps you just thought I had a gay bike. I went through major Pink Flod periods in my youth, as I think we all do. I even had the Zabraskie Point soundtrack ( it sucked almost as much as Atom Heart Mother ). Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++ Metal Musings - Rex and my new metal blog

I've got a bike, you can ride it if you like. It's got a basket, a bell that rings, and things to make it look good. I'd love to ride in the California weather, but I'm on the other side of the world, in the middle of a wind storm that ripped the door off my ute ( pick up truck for you Americans ). Once again, I'm so glad we moved to Queensland! (up the Maroons! ;P ). Although I had underestimated how cold it would get here at night .

Didn't the banana crop go belly up on the back of a hurricane or something ? We don't have it THAT bad. Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++ Metal Musings - Rex and my new metal blog

I knew that sounded really familiar. I loved them back in high school.

Untrue, much of the bananas are grown in far northern New South Wales and Southern Queensland. All the plantations are stuffed which is why it cost over $5.00 to buy 3 bananas for my daughter the other week. Sorry, I was talking about the hurricane cyclone, not the banana's. Here they're $10/Kg! I am still buying them for Mikey, but apparently I'm not a very good prospector as I have yet to find gold :|.

Nice looking bike! Good size for the CC also as they get good milage and pretty much do everything a person needs. Most of my biking days was one custom (chopped) 350-360 cc bikes. My Yamaha 360 had a 36 " overstock front end, struts on the back, sportster gas tank, harley kickstand, apehanger handle bars (had to switch to lower ones due to State law) and a step seat. Looked nice for the size of bike and I loved pulling 71 mpg! The only downside was step upgrades (I live out here in the mountains) when two are on it, would take about all it had to make it up some grades and still push 60 mph. But overall was a lot of fun with little cost. I do not ride anymore myself (too old), but I sure miss it in the summer! Rocky <>< Latest Post: Visual Studio 2005 Standard, whats missing? Now that you have said that and I have reread ther thread I see it. Couldn't focus on anything but the bananas at the time.
