Steel cut oats with diced apples, chopped walnuts and cinammon (no maple syrup--kicked that habit about six months ago!), and an egg, done medium (my girlfriend prefers her egg soft, and my son prefers his egg hard), sunny side up, with oregano or basil. Sometimes with some salsa. On Saturday, usually the same thing, but we add bacon, and Sunday's I'll often make omlettes instead. All organic. :) Marc Pensieve Some people believe what the bible says. I knew you'd have some crazy breakfast, Marc. :) I was just about to ask, "how the heck do you have time for all that before work?", but I just remembed you're a contracting man, so I suppose you're in no hurry to go anywhere.

I'm curious, what do CPians eat for breakfast? My routine, having given up caffeine some time ago, is a glass of chocolate milk and 2 chocolate Pop Tarts. :)

Most mornings I have coffee and instant oatmeal. On the off chance I have a dollar in my wallet, I get Pop Tarts out of the vending machine and have those (like this morning).

X| Oatmeal is so bland. Only way I touch that is if it's doused in brown sugar.

This is nice. Do you know, that chocolate has caffeine in it? I have coffee (to wake up -:) ), and whatever I can grab on my way (yougurt, waffle, pancake, muffin...) Sincerely, Elina Life is great!!! Enjoy every moment of it! :-O

True, my commute takes about 5 seconds. Basically, I get start the oatmeal, which takes about 1/2 hour to cook. Fire up the computer, check email, codeproject, and weather. When the oatmeal is done, start the eggs and dice up the apples. Serve! Actual time in kitchen is probably about 10 minutes tops. My son does the dishes. Occasionally I get distracted by CP and burn the oatmeal, hehehe, but my girlfriend has figured that out and watches it for me. :) (She's got a 45 minute commute and a lot to get ready in the morning, in case you're wondering.) I work from home most days, so just bring my laptop into the kitchen and browse CP while stirring the oatmeal, etc. ;)

It depends on what's in the house. It could be coffee with oatmeal with raisins or bananas or dried fruit/nut mix, or granola cereal, or banana milkshake with Naked JuiceTM, or bagel with cream cheese, or egg sandwich on a bagel, or something out of the vending machine, or an apple and a banana, or a doughnut, or just coffee. Coffee and cigarettes. Prefereably as many as possible. This continues through the day until I get back home and eat some toast (quantity measured in loaves) or some other simple food, such as a chicken. Then I smoke, drink more coffee and finally go to sleep with more coffee and anouther cigarette.

Interesting. I've never heard anyone use the word porage, outside of fairy tales. :) Porage oats is oatmeal, then?

I know that chocolate candy bars too, but I'm pretty sure my chocolate syrup doesn't. Haven't checked those chocolate pop tarts though. :-O
