What do you eat for breakfast?

 I knew you'd have some crazy breakfast, Marc. :) I was just about to ask, "how the heck do you have time for all that before work?", but I just remembed you're a contracting man, so I suppose you're in no hurry to go anywhere.

True, my commute takes about 5 seconds. Basically, I get start the oatmeal, which takes about 1/2 hour to cook. Fire up the computer, check email, codeproject, and weather. When the oatmeal is done, start the eggs and dice up the apples. Serve! Actual time in kitchen is probably about 10 minutes tops. My son does the dishes. Occasionally I get distracted by CP and burn the oatmeal, hehehe, but my girlfriend has figured that out and watches it for me. :) (She's got a 45 minute commute and a lot to get ready in the morning, in case you're wondering.) Well, if you're ever in the Hudson Valley region of NY, I'll make you breakfast. Or you can stay at Thyme In The Country B&B (my neighbhor runs it), and I'll cook you dinner! :-D Marc Pensieve Some people believe what the bible says. Literally. I'm curious, what do CPians eat for breakfast? My routine, having given up caffeine some time ago, is a glass of chocolate milk and 2 chocolate Pop Tarts. :)

It depends on what's in the house. It could be coffee with oatmeal with raisins or bananas or dried fruit/nut mix, or granola cereal, or banana milkshake with Naked JuiceTM, or bagel with cream cheese, or egg sandwich on a bagel, or something out of the vending machine, or an apple and a banana, or a doughnut, or just coffee. Coffee and cigarettes. Prefereably as many as possible. This continues through the day until I get back home and eat some toast (quantity measured in loaves) or some other simple food, such as a chicken. Then I smoke, drink more coffee and finally go to sleep with more coffee and anouther cigarette.

Interesting. I've never heard anyone use the word porage, outside of fairy tales. :) Porage oats is oatmeal, then?

This is nice. Do you know, that chocolate has caffeine in it? I have coffee (to wake up -:) ), and whatever I can grab on my way (yougurt, waffle, pancake, muffin...) Sincerely, Elina Life is great!!! Enjoy every moment of it! :-O
I know that chocolate candy bars too, but I'm pretty sure my chocolate syrup doesn't. Haven't checked those chocolate pop tarts though. :-O

Most days (about 90+ percent of the time), two slices of white bread toast, buttered, possibly with peanut butter and/or jelly/jam or Cheese Whiz. ALL days, coffee, usually 2 cooks before I leave the house... cup refilled within 5 minutes of arrival at work.

X| Oatmeal is so bland. Only way I touch that is if it's doused in brown sugar.

No, no. I don't eat the bland stuff ... instant brown sugar, or cinnamon, apple, strawberry or blue berry ... not plain. :)

I eat better these days but I am not "into health food." I never used to like muesli but found a really good one here in Ireland. It is full of nuts (hazel, brazil, walnut, pecan etc.) which makes it taste great. regards, Paul Watson Ireland FeedHenry needs you
