Must have been a bug in Windows. ;P That comment about "it's only a matter of time before this happens on an airplane" was disturbing. Not because I think for one minute that a laptop will actually explode on an airplane, but that now, some jack*** beaurocrat will pass a law making it illegal to use laptops. That and the fact it will put an idea in someone's head to do such a thing.

Notebook-doken!! I can't help but think that a tremendous exploding fireball just serves to add substantial support to my idea that these should be called "notebook" computers and never "laptop" computers. -- I've killed again, haven't I?

It's obviously the battery. It's the only thing that could explode in a laptop. _____________________________________________ Tozzi is right: Gaia is getting rid of us. My Blog [ITA] - Developing ScrewTurn Wiki 0.2a...

I've dealt with a desktop network card that shot out 3 inch flames. Not quite like in the pictures, but it might suprise you what can go wrong.

Hopefully the battery overload circuit cannot be controlled by Melissa the UniBomber virus. After all, I had second thoughts about using a laptop after that guy claimed that his naughty bits had been overly warmed. Timothy Lee Russell www.anatone.net
