15 mins by train and then 30 mins by foot. Factor in another 15 mins to wait for the train and I spend about 10 hours a week on the move. Im sure there are many people who spend longer and I dont have to deal with driving in traffic so I should not complain too much. Objects in mirror are closer than they appear

It's sprite ( which I would call lemonade ), lime cordial and bitters. IT's very nice. I managed to get ONE between my two trips to the USA, and an assortment of very strange things, even after I worked out that in the USA, lemonade is lemon cordial. Ah, yes, and to get what we call lemondade you must ask for "real lemonade." And Jello is called jelly. And jelly is jam. And jam is marmalade. And cookies are biscuits or "bickies." Not sure if I spelled that right. But lamington rules! (I spent some time in Melbourne. Essendon to be exact.)

I met a guy from DC area that took about 2 hours total each way. I used to commute from town A to town B which was a 45 minute straight shot on the interstate. My last job took 10 minutes. Now I'm up to 15. That's one nice thing about living in the middle of nowhere. No traffic. Although I was late once because a herd of cows got out and were blocking the road.

The first time in Australia I asked for kleenex no one knew what the heck I was asking for. rubbish bin = trash can Oh, and I've never heard it called a "barbie." Everyone I knew called it a Weber...the brand name. Now i want an Anzac cookie. They don't sell them at our Subways. Oh, what is Burger King again there? Hungy Jack? btw..where in Mel?

We have Kleenex, we're just less likely to replace a generic term with a brand, for some reason. Yeah, it's a rubbish bin. A BBQ is a barbie. A Weber is one of those dome things. A barbie can be a pile of bricks with a steel plate over it. Burger King was Burger King the first time, they came back as Hungry Jacks. The menus are all different as well. WE don't have tons of stuff like Jack in a box, Steak n shake, Taco Bell, etc. Melbourne is on the bottom right, it's a port city. Tasmania is an island state below it, that's where I live now. I find myself using US terminology because the main person I speak to nowadays besides my family is in Texas. Some friends called me on it last night, I think I said cookies, or candy perhaps. Damn, and here I thought it was my breasts, uh, I mean, personality. After college was always fun. I come from a small state where people tend to stay in the area after graduation. I always get, "Hey! I remember you! I had class xyz with you!" No doubt you remember me. I was always the one white girl in every computer class...
