Do most people here use CodeGuru too ? or just CodeProject ? Just wondering as I normally post articles to both sites but am beginning to question whether that's worth the effort. regards,

Sometimes back I was looking looking articles at codeguru because it never asked me for login information for downloading source code... may be that was the first website I heard well known for developers. It's a fact that, my gurus never referred code project instead of codeguru... I head about code project 2-3 years back :) But for last two years. I'm not referred codeguru for anything other than some forum posts (google drives me to there :( ) SaRath.

yes, the adverts are truly horrible. Maybe it's time to commit myself to CodeProject and say goodbye to the other side....

OffTopic (Not an advert) ;) By the way, just wanted to say that Visual Lint is great - I was one of your beta testers and it's just gotten better over time. It did take me several months to 'convince' my manager to get it for me though. regards
Darka [Xanya]
Thanks very much. I do remember you! I have to say we're really pleased with the way Visual Lint is developing so far. The only problem we have is that we've too many ideas and too little time to implement them! :-> Anna :rose: Currently working mostly on: Visual Lint  Anna's Place | Tears and Laughter "Be yourself - not what others think you should be" - Marcia Graesch "Anna's just a sexy-looking lesbian tart" - A friend, trying to wind me up. When I desparateley need a programming hint and Google spits out a link to a CG article, I try to read it. But I don't type "codeguru" into my address bar. _____________________________________________________________________________ I don't expect too much, all I want is your vote for Halbsichtigkeit.

Surely you'd try google before Code Guru? Or maybe you're not one of the die-hard CPians who checks Google before :omg: checking CP!

LOL the only way I ever end up on CodeGuru is via a search engine. It's too ghastly to navigate in any other way.

It varies. Most of the questions I need answering are pretty hardcore Visual Studio automation/extensibility questions, and unfortunately I'm unlikely to find an answer to those on CP anyway. I had to disable flash to use the forum there because otherwise the ads used 100% of my cpu time until the browser crashed.

I used it before CodeProject, ahem I mean CodeTools started, but once Chris started this site, I haven't returned. Hmmm... I wonder how many different logins I've lost through the years. A side question: How many people remember when this was starting on the WinDev mailing list?
