Storming the Micosoft compound wouldn't really do anything to increase their "warrior standing". Most of the idiots at MS are running around secretly listening to their Apple iPods, and probably wouldn't even hear the attack coming. Add to that the fact that probably 99.9% of the MS staff aren't exactly in fighting trim, much less carrying around their broadswords, and the KT would look like nothing more than schoolyard bullies. I think they've chosen "wisely". :) Note: The only worse choice I could think of is if the KT attacked France. Most of the KT kills would be a sword to the back, and that's only if they could catch the retreating French. The only reason the French would be able to survive is that they can run faster simply because they're not wearing all that chainmail garbage (or carrying weapons).

The first indication of trouble is usually when my sentences begin with, "All I wanted to do was..." I like the CP threaded forum approach. I find it much more intuitive to follow the train of thought than in the more common monolithic style of discussion board. For years now I've used David Wulff's excellent forum software. However, as I live in a C# / .NET world with my sites these days, I'd really like to find something similar to CP / Battle Axe Forums in a .NET / C# (and free) model. There seems to be a ton of stuff out there. Much of it is ambitiously priced. Those that are free are rarely C# / .NET. And the few that are use the monolithic format rather than the threaded method favored by CP. How freakin' hard can this be? Is there truly no forum code out there that meets this criteria? It's far too tempting to just sit down and code something myself. Fortunately, I don't have that kind of time. Any ideas, or am I just looking for a holy grail that doesn't exist? I have planned to attempt this in C# for a while now... but I just haven't found the time to continue it. I've played around with a few UI concepts, specifically trying to solve the problem CP has (IMO) that it's sometimes hard to see which message a particular post is replying to. I quite like the IMDB forums - they have a nested view like CP, but always expanded. I really don't get flat forums - you can't follow who's replying to who, and have to rely on quotes to follow the discussion.
