Hi, now the fuel price in my country is 1 Litter = 1$ us dollar. I don't know what to do? It is really impact to my standard of living. How about the price of fuel in your country?
In india it ranges from 1$ to 1.25$ dollor per Ltr.

1 liter = 1.40 Euro. That's 1.78 US dollars per liter. Anyway, the fuel price does not directly impact on my standard of living. I assume food and other stuff is becomes a bit more expensive whenever the fuel price rises, because it has to be transported on trucks that need fuel. My tram ticket might cost a little more, because the tram company also provides couple of bus lines. So what? The fuels price has been rising and rising for years, but I never felt any need to reduce my life style. Byt he way: I never had a car. I go by bike and train. _____________________________________________________________________________ I don't expect too much, all I want is your vote for Halbsichtigkeit.
It's about 97 pence per litre here, which works out at 1.78 US$ too - spooky. Back where my mother in law lives (a few hundred miles further south) it's about 5p cheaper, but on the whole most of the UK is paying just under a uk Pound per litre now :-\ -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit! Buzzwords!

Think yourself lucky. The cheapest price I can find for unleaded locally is 95.9p/litre GBP, which is $1.76/litre USD. Prices here show every sign of creaping up much further than that too - I really wouldn't be surprised if it was approaching £1.20/litre ($2.20) by this time next year. South Africa is about 6.50 rands.(exchange rate at the moment $1=R7.20) OK only about 90 us cents, but if you only earn about $1000pm(R7000) it seems more. Petrol prices have increased here going from R2/litre 4 years ago. Its getting so that walking is best. Its a pity I stay 30km from work LOL

Tried Tesco? Theirs down here in Wales is around 92.9p/l. Also if you spend more than £50 in Tescos you can get 5p/l off, it seriously helps if you need to fill up something (from empty) like a Shogun (which we have) or a Range Rover (which a friend has). Our Shogun has an 80-90l fuel tank and my friends Rangey has a 120l one! He's there for about 10mins filling it up unless they use the lorry pumps.

But the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has a different quote. The crude oil prices from the Gulf and other oil producing countries seems to be experiencing an acute shortage. I think, they should also, seriously look out for non-petrol energy sources as well. General Public should also consider more patronage to public conveyance system rather than depending on private motor systems. This will significantly improve traffic conditions, at least in India. Buy a more efficient vehicle. In the US recently I saw an advert for a car boasting 29 miles to the gallon. That would be laughed off the screen in the UK. Elaine :rose: The tigress is here :-D

Around here it's US$3.09/gallon, that's about US$0.81/liter. The price of gas as very nearly doubled in the last 3 years, as there doesn't appear to be an end in sight. That's a full size 5/6 passenger car. As a tall long legged person I can't drive anything smaller. The seats don't go back far enough. Short range commuter trips wouldn't be a problem with something a bit smaller, but 3hr+ road trips would be torture, and I've got a 10+ hrs one planned for later in the month. We have econoboxes getting 30/40, but the 2 passenger microcar would never sell in the us market. The cliche about differences of scale; in America 100years is a long time, in Europe 100miles is a long drive; definately applies here.

Yeah, and think, these prices are in an "oil producing" country. I am wondering where all the hydrogen vehicles are that everyone was promising just a couple years ago. Guess the hybrids pushed them on the back burner. I wonder what is next, virtual vacations, enjoy family and friends along with natural beauties all from the comfort of your computer chair... It's about the same price. We don't shop in Tesco either (we buy local when we can; the few things we can't find there usually come from Sainsburys), so there are no discounts coming from that direction! That sounds rather similar to my car. Even that does close to 40 mpg - and it's 8 years old!!!
