Why? Anyways I got my problem sorted after an innocuous hit in Google (on about the 50th page, that's how long I've been hunting for the solution). Still it provided me with yet another lesson and method of tackling similar problems.

You're one of the people who often answers people's questions in the forums but you're then stuck on a problem of your own and you don't have anyone to help? Penalty of being good at what you do I suppose

I try to ask someone not to long out of school. You get a fresh, untainted, sometimes off-the-wall answer that may or may not be what I'm looking for, but it usually starts me thinking down a different path to where I figure out what I need to do. Also Google it but don't get booged down in the results. Sometimes that jar's my thoughts into new directions.

You mean what happens when you spend countless hours helping others only to find deafening silence when you need help yourself? You quickly realize that you've been associating with the human race.

You find out where the MVPs hang out. Ask your question there. If the MVP doesn't know, then they have access to people at Microsoft who should have the answer. If it is a question concerning a non-Microsoft product find out where people who are experts on that product hang out. Joe Brinkman Microsoft MVP - ASP.Net

Life or death situation :) Being payed for the hour so might as well randomly click on some buttons for a few hours to try and solve it.  Plus the project couldn't really continue easily until I solved it.  There was a work-a-round but it involved a complete redesign from the ground up X|
