http://labs.jphantom.com/wpm/[^] Although it's not suited to a programmer's style.  Anybody want to write one?  Or are we all too embarrased by our reliance on Intellisense (when it works:rolleyes:) :) My speed (after a few attempts to get used to the language): 122.11 wpm[^]

As of how to accomplish this I wouldn't have a clue at the moment and I'm too lazy to google it

Was it sentences or was it (as it looks like from my glance) just random alpha-numeric characters?  If the latter then I'd expect "scores" to drop.

It's real paragraphs. But with all the punctuation and capitalization included. It uses a Java applet to run the test.

I think it has to do with the words it uses. There seemed to be a large number of large words. I think characters per minute is a more accurate metric of speed.

            This statement is false.

The 'official definition' of words per minute defines a word as 5 keys (letters, numbers, symbols, space, enter, tab, etc). So unless the test isn't following the rules, word length shouldn't matter.

That's why someone would make a lot of money for a vocal intellisense, you know set up aliases etc, autocomplete words that we begin to speak...

Formula 1 - Short for "F1 Racing" - named after the standard "help" key in Windows, it's a sport where participants desperately search through software help files trying to find actual documentation.
