Isn't that an oxymoron, or something...
We need to graduate from the ridiculous notion that greed is some kind of elixir for capitalism - it's the downfall of capitalism. Self-interest, maybe, but self-interest run amok does not serve anyone. The core value of conscious capitalism is enlightened self-interest. Patricia Aburdene

So yesterday I was "multitasking" (programming on my desktop, chatting with people on my laptop). All while my 4 month old son Luke was sitting on my lap. (the laptop was sitting on my desk, kind of making it a desktop I guess...) During one of my conversations I wasn't really paying attention to what Luke was doing... until I noticed that he was banging on something. Turns out he wanted to help daddy out with his project. Unfortunately since we were the only two home I couldn't a picture of it. So while I was checking my email with him we managed to get a picture[^]. I guess I might as well get him started young, maybe I should start reading Inside C# to him at bedtime.

Why would anyone want to curse a child with such knowledge...

My kids kill input devices on a regular basis. Either it's spilled drinks, banging on it, dropping it on the floor, or fighting over it (one kid grabs the mouse / keyboard, the other grabs the cord). For a while my younger son would repeat phrases from education games in exacly the same tone as the game. Anytime I did something wrong he would chirp out "That is not correct, try again!".

Seems like it wasn't that long ago (has it really been 4 months? wow) that you were kinda freaked out about the whole thing. He's awfully cute. :)

I have decided to keep my laptop around after I replace it just for him... then if he wants to do something like that he can... with out freaking out the people I am talking to. Then again his friends list will probably just have his grandparents on it.

I wouldn't say kinda freaked out... I couldn't feel my hands, I couldn't concentrate, and I felt my heart was going to rip out of my chest.

Yeah, hes turning out to be a ladies man. He can attract girls of all ages, I once was holding him in a mall and a little girl (complete stranger) walked up and wanted to play with him... Couldn't have been older than 3, he has a knack with the college girls too :)
