What are you doing this weekend? :) I plan to visit my aunt and do the laundry tomorrow. Will be meeting a friend on Sunday. I owe him a treat for my birthday earlier this month, and he owes me a treat for his birthday earlier this month, so we'll be going dutch. I also hope to finish A Critique of C++[^] No flames, please. C++ is the language second dearest to my heart (C# managed to dethrone it recently) but that doesn't mean it's flawless.

    Cheers, Vikram.

You know, I have to vote you a 5 just to help compensate for people who seem to hate your weekly "It's Friday" post. Geez folks, get a friggin' life. Anyways, I'm most likely going to be working on one client's video kiosk system and another client's low level packet communication layer, hopefully squeezing in some time for biking, taking a walk with my GF, playing Stormreach, cooking a yummy dinner for my GF, playing with the cat, and working more on my to-do list demo app for XPressTier (nothing as sophisticated as dan.g's todolist). The original Friday Post has returned. :) Tonight I'm going to start redesigning/rewriting an editor I wrote for work in C++ a few years ago. The main reason is to have a useful project to help me learn C# better, but also, I've always hated the code and frankly it'd be easier to rewrite than refactor. :-O I'm going a bike trek tomorrow morning to help raise awareness of cycling in South Carolina. I opted for the 28-mile loop, which will be my longest ride after I finish, so I'm looking forward to reaching another personal best. Then tomorrow night I'm visiting friends for dinner and drinks. Sometime this weekend I'm going to but a border around my front flower beds and try to improve the drainage around one of them. It keeps getting flooded whenever we have a strong rain.

Yay! It's back! What could have caused these posts such problems? *Elaine whistles out of tune* Tomorrow either at the gym or going for a good walk into town, Sunday the company 'family day' with free barbecue and then seeing friends in the evening. Elaine :rose:

I will be bottling my Chec Pilsner and brewing a Tripple Belgian ale. I'll probably do some swimming at the in laws pool and take my wife out for a nice dinner on Saturday.

Well today, I'm picking up a new toy for training. I'm getting a heart rate monitor and going to be using it as part of my run training for the next several months. I'll be spending the weekend at the cottage relaxing with my wife and daughters and will no doubt play a couple of games of scrabble. I have to build a new gate for the deck and I also hope to put in a mile swim on Sunday morning. So say your prayers for me. :)

ah yes, that is true. I will be de-bottling some of my bitter ale and my Columbian IPA.

Why go through the hassle of bottles? Just put the keg above head level, and use a tube... ;)

I'm preparing myself for get back to work on tuesday. During the past 3 weeks I've become quite nocturnal, meaning that my sleep cycle is shifted 6 hours (I'm on NYC time :~). Since that doesn't really jive well with office hours, I will do an all nighter tonight, and keep myself awake until 8 pm saturday night. That ought to get me somewhat closer to a normal sleep cycle. While awake I will hack some code, and play Unreal Tournament. :)
