Continuing the regular lounge tactic of polling fellow CPians for their lifestyle habits, What car do you drive? What car would you like to drive if you got payed what you deserve? So as not to be discriminatory, those who don't drive at all can just make up answers. :) Sorry to dissapoint you all with my lack of a witty or poignant signature.

I have a 2001 Ford Mustang GT convertible that is mineral gray. Not superb on gas mileage, but boy is it fun in the summer time. Brigg Thorp Software Engineer Timex Corporation

I drive them all. I'm the man, it'd my birthright. My wife usually drives the truck, and sometimes asks permission to drive the Buick. Notice also, there are no FOREIGN vehicles in the bunch. 1. Bud Moore's race-prepared Trans Am 1969 Boss 302 Mustang - this was a museum pice, but I was allowed to drive it in a parking lot slalom course. 2) 427 A/C Cobra at Riverside - ahhhh, the way all cars should be made. I took a race-prepared A/C Cobra for a "casual spin" (if you can call four-wheel drifting through the turns as "casual") around Riverside before it was shut down. This car's power-to-weight ratio is phenominal. Traveling in a straight line at 100mph, you could punch the gas (without down-shifting), and it would leave rubber STREAKS (not just little whimpy chirp marks). This was the scariest car I've ever driven - it was a) expensive if I wrecked it, and b) being a roadster, didn't have a top. The car is capable of going OVER 200mph in race trim. 3) 1970 Talladega Torino - this was Torino (sold to the public) with an extended "aero" front end (the fenders are more than a foot longer than on a standard Torino), and sporting a 428 motor hooked to a Nascar "top-loader" 4-speed. This car was damn fast. 4) 427 SOHC Thunderbolt Fairlane - from the factory, these cars had fiberglass fenders, door skins, hood, bumpers, and decklid, and came with aluminum door panels and plexiglas side/rear windows, a four-point roll cage, and racing lap belts (full harnesses hadn't been invented at the time). The motor was a dual-quad 427 side oiled single-overhead cam mill hooked to a Nascar toploader gearbox and a gussetted nickled-geared 9-inch heavy duty rear end, and available in ANY gear ratio you could imagine. The car was also equipped with a scattershield (a cast-iron bellhousing for the clutch).
