The past couple of MS events I've been to, the MS guys/girls have all hinted that something very big is on the horizon from the MS stable. But, that's about all the information that they're giving. Anyone heard anything? Obviously not Hailstorm, so maybe it's some kind of new app. server for .NET? Mistake: I just realised that I used "stable" in the same sentence as "MS".  Cheers, Simon "I get paid for my brain and my thinking in several obscure worlds", Olli, The Lounge

I think it has something to do with Longhorn...the guys over at /. were discussing this. Apparently it is not simply XP SE as we initially thought. It looks like it will be a MAJOR advancment over XP. Either that or some tablet PC stuff Regards Senkwe Just another wannabe code junky

The Longhorn filesystem for MSSQL 2003/4/5 (Yukon) should also be a really big addition. Cheers, Simon "I get paid for my brain and my thinking in several obscure worlds", Olli, The Lounge

I've heard that in some next release of Windows the new file system will be based on a SQL Server engine, this mean no more NTFS to store files and directories. Maybe.... :-| bye emanuele

Microsoft is planning a corporate takeover of the US government? or to at least make it public anyway. Why not throw away a dime? I throw away ten pennies all the time.
