Nine more years of that and you may be balding with a gut, but get a sports car to pick up young chicks with. ;P Happy B-Day btw.

Ha ha. Funny you should say that, but that the two things that I think I'm immune to.* Baldness I've never really worried about it. Never had anyone in my immediate family that I know is bald.

    • Beer belly. Now, I drink a lot of beer. I'm Mr. Pub. But I'm forever thin. Up to a year ago I used to have a full gym membership, only to try and tempt a bit of weight onto me, but only in vain. All my brothers, and my father, has got enourmous bellies, but I seem to have skipped that one!

Now you are talking. I've got a 1995 Renault Clio. Does that count? :~

Ha! OK. Maybe I haven't done it all yet. But I like my freedom and kids and wives and all that seems to me to be what you do when you're old. Now, I have a mortgage on my head, so thats a tick on my 'Am I old Yet' list. Two to go and I might as well buy myself a rocking chair.

Ohhhh your in for a surprise. I was bone thin and a rail of a kid and used to have contests as to was thinner. Fast metabolism.. After a while in my thirties, ok maybe working at the computer and eating good food, and drinking Guinness regularly had something to do with it, I developed the infamous beer belly and am now a whopping 200 lbs. Being 6 foot tall helps to spread it around a bit, but my friends who remember what I used to look like are still in shock.

When I was seventeen It was a very good year It was a very good year for small town girls And soft summer nights Wed hide from the lights On the village green When I was seventeen When I was twenty-one It was a very good year It was a very good year for city girls Who lived up the stair With all that perfumed hair And it came undone When I was twenty-one When I was thirty-five It was a very good year It was a very good year for blue-blooded girls Of independent means We'd ride in limousines Their chauffeurs would drive When I was thirty-five But now the days grow short Im in the autumn of the year And now I think of my life as vintage wine >from fine old kegs >from the brim to the dregs And it poured sweet and clear It was a very good year It was a mess of good years

I hate to tell you, but 31 you haven't done it. I haven't done it, or wrote the book on it at 41. You've done it, and wrote the book on it when YOU decide to give up and stop doing it. I started learning music at 40. I started photography all over again at 37. Heck, I started my life over again at 37 because of my 2nd divorce. I still haven't done it all. I haven't seen it all. But I am still trying, still learning, still doing. I'll write the book when I decide to, but for write now, I'm still 41 years young even if I did loose 20 years of my life in 2002. Live for today, but never waste tomorrow. and happy birthday!! may you have many happy to come! -- modified at 22:09 Thursday 10th August, 2006

Bah. You bunch of sissies. You aren't even sentient until after you turn 40. (I turned 45 a couple of weeks ago) Happy Birthday! :rose:

Does this mean I clear my two marriages and divorces off my record because I wasn't sentient then?

I tell everyone my 30s have been and promise to continue to be the best years of my life thus far. It could be denial, but I think it's the truth. ;) Happy Birthday!

Getting old is the point! Besides, who says you can't write the book, then decide to write a dozen new and different books? :-D

Well, I still like the idea of living forever. But I guess I'll have to settle for wisdom. :-D
