Ok, there's obviously something I'm not aware of here. This is the first time I've heard of the spaghetti monster, so I thought it was funny. I'm not refuting your stance, just saying I'm missing out on something. Of course, kinda hard to really talk about it outside the SB.

It isn't the flying pasta monster that's got me. That is funny! This is what I don't like... OPEN LETTER TO KANSAS SCHOOL BOARD: (Jeremy, are you aware of all the buzz on this topic? Haven't a clue. My mom is surprised sometimes about the lack of current events I know about. I guess that's what happens when you don't watch TV. :-D

I think those Muslim cartoons were too. Well regardless. If the majority thinks I'm wrong it only confirms my point. It's a letter disguised in humor that has a political agenda. If it didn't it would not be addressed CC to 11 other school systems or however many were there. It's a religion oriented, political agenda attempting to hide in humor. I thought all that stuff was supposed to go in the soapbox but hey... I'm just an angry biggot. I have to leave soon I have an abortion clinic to go burn down.

Sorry - I just saw the photo, and then the title of the book. I didn't bother reading the text as I thought that wasn't what Chris L was pointing us to. Looked to me that Chris L was just pointing out the humor - and not really focusing on the serious content.

Perhaps it is that, but I just saw the humor - the political agenda was too well hidden for me I guess. Oh well - gotta read more newspapers I suppose.

Well that's my last post on it. Sure seems like there's an agenda there but hey... No big deal. I'm outta here. Have to meet a friend for lunch. I do love the humor of the pasta monster but it's that open letter part I don't like. BTW I didn't vote your posts down at all. Mine are getting firebombed :-D but who cares about that... Seriously though can you kind of see my point? If they had left out the letter it would have been great. Anyway... I'm off to eat. Maybe I won't be grumpy with a full belly.

It is religious when you make it religious. that is why negative publicity works in favor of various things. Just post a picture of this: http://www.wsmr.army.mil/pao/whatsUp/wu1.htm[^] and refer to it as proof of the great centipede.

It's making fun of the religious stance taken by the Kansas school systems. A stance many people happen to agree with. How about I start making fun of Muslims here. Hey I know, I'll post a cartoon making fun of the Muslim religion. Funny thing... It's okay to bash anything that might be linked to Christianity or being a Christian. You're even now considered "cool" and a "hip thinker" someone who's "free from psychological crutches to deal with the reality of life" but if you make fun of any other religion you'll probably get your ass kicked by 100 people who have nothing better to do with their time than make Christianity out to be a religion of bigots and all other religions the ultimate path to awareness. I would have enjoyed the humor if it had not been an attack (it really is) on the Kansas school system which is an attack on Christianity I mean we're all just angry biggots terrified of homosexuals that secretly desire to burn abortion clinics to the ground right? Don't say anything about being Muslim though... You'll get your head handed to you on a stick...

You sir have a fallacy in your logic right about there...um..unless you are saying that the Kansas school system is responsible for all of Christianity. I thought it was funny.

Umm...perhaps I'm missing the overall point here, but isn't what the military does supposed to be by nature...um..secretive or something. I can't believe they post that stuff on their website..hmmm...unless it's a diversionary tactic to make us all stop thinking about area 51...hmmm....:~
