Yes. On speakers when I work from home ;) or headphones in the office.

Not at all. Not even with headphones. They're afraid we might not be working. Sometimes it'd be nice to have on noise-cancelling headphones, even with no music!

No, but I would like to. Actually nobody told me I can't, but I am working openspace with people coming to me every now and then, and I find it rude to have to remove the headphones every time. :-O Damn, keep getting errors today.

Would wearing the phones to cover only 1 ear work?

I don't think I could get through the day without some background music. I listen to quiet sounds from my speakers in the office. Ironically headphones are frowned upon, as it takes 'extra' effort to gain a blokes attention:)

Not to do so would be silly. I have sound cancelling headphones too, it is sweet.

I agree ;) I sometime put earphones on even though I'm not really listening music:cool:: this makes people think I won't pay attention to them and don't disturb me if not really necessary. There's a side effect, though: if someone come to speak to my colleague, he feels free to shout, since I won't hear: so I have to turn music on....
