hello I've already posted an article and have about a dozen more unfinished on my PC, but as I said it's the exams that's keeping me back these days. I wasn't talking about that, I was talking about getting the CodeProject Protector / Edittor / MVP and so titles. How?? There isn't a "join the club" link where you click and follow the instruction!!;) I just thought of being an edittor, if I were qualified! Regards:rose:

Not actually being a member of the CP team I can't say for certain but I think that, Protector is invitation only and granted by contributions to the site. One of the CP team will have to answer how you become and editor. And I thought MVP was a Microsoft award.

Hello That's exactly what I'm talking about. What exactly should I do to deserve and expect such an invitaion? I'm still hoping for somebody of CP team to get around and answer my post, specially that the page telling the definitions of these terms, doesn't give an idea of how to become a member!! MVP -Most Valued Professional- is really a microsoft award, but CP also offers such an award each year. Again Microsoft was clear at their site about how to become an MVP and what are the benefits, yet here in CP, no clue!! Thanks for replying BTW, I took a look at your article, and I'll make sure to read them sometime. You've got some interesting points there!! Regards:rose:

I think that is based on post count and/or votes on your posts. So, like a MS MVP, you just get it.

Hello Nice of you to reply. Three questions: 1- The icon next to your name says you're CP staff. how did you get this? 2- You are MS MVP, nice!! Again, what did you do to be awarded? Just posting, or did you have any other activities in MS communities? 3- Sometimes I flame someone for cross posting or reposting, he avenges him self by giving me a 1.0 score for my post. Does that affect me?? Regards:rose:

By spending 40 hours a week working for them ?

They decide who is an MVP, so I really don't know for sure

            I doubt it.

The Code Project MVP is assigned on numbers. At the end of each year your contribution over the past year is counted and the top 10 article writers and top 10 helpers in the programming forums get the award. See: http://www.codeproject.com/script/rumor/article.asp?id=333[^]

I've been quite busy this year (new job, new house, etc.), so I don't expect to be in the top 10.
