You have to remember that the 2nd amendment was only a prohibition upon the federal government. Under Jeffersonian principles, state and local governments could exercise gun control all they liked and have frequently done so. But as I said below, guns, like cars, are such an instrinsic part of our culture, it is going to be virtually impossible to get rid of them to any meaningful extent.

They're also really annoying conversationalists. I mean, i thought potheads were bad, but at least potheads just waste a lot of time stating the obvious and laughing about it. Methheads don't seem to even bother noticing the obvious, they just keep talking, a mile a minute, about whatever pops into their heads. I can just imaging Kyle hanging around, drinking, with his mates. One of them, perhaps he doesnt know him that well, starts messing around with the rifle. Loads a .762 round, and bang.
