I just added a new desk decoration. I was reading my MSDN magazine and there was a CP ad with a picture of Bob! So I cut him out and he's taped to my desk. My cubicle is kind of a mess of stuff including the following: 1. A calendar with bugs as art 2. Art prints of puffins 3. Numerous picture frames filled with pics of cats and birds 4. One pic of me and Kori with a page flag pointing to Kori's head saying "Missing Information." 5. A Micrsoft paint drawing Kori did of my "brain." At least the "Programming" portion is bigger than TV. But not as large as "Animals." 6. My scrapbook of my trip to Puerto Rico when I need to go to my Happy Place. 7. An art drawing of a squirrel and a photograph of my squirrell family at my old house. 8. Visual Studio posters of different classes. 9. A postcard that says "Don't Be a Jerk." 10. A BASF insert to someting with holes that said, "Your project is full of holes." I scratched out "your project" and wrote "my mind." 11. Darth Tater 12. A cutout of Yoda with a light sabre. 13. Pop and water bottles. 14. Over 20 books---most I don't use since they include things like COBOL and JavaBeans. But I ran out of room at home. 15. A toy prairie dog with a sign that reads, "Feed me and die!" 16. Yummy Purell. 17. A week's worth of Ramen noodles, Veggie chips and soybeans. 18. Standard office stuff like say, a computer. 19. Headphones and CDs so I don't have to listen to my neighbor tap his feet ALL FRIGGIN DAY! So what fun stuff do you have in your cubicle?

    1. A Siemens 840DI CNC test system with Siemens 611U servo drives and 300 series analog & digital I/O. 2. GE Fanuc Series 90-30 I/O rack with APMs (axis positioning modules) and analog & digital I/O. 3. About 30 seriously boring manuals discussing #1 & #2 4. A coffee mug that says "Sounds Like Bullshit To Me!" 5. A phone 6. A computer 7. Safety glasses 8. My Dell MP3 player That's it! :|

Mine's all functional, I'm afraid. The usual stuff; books, wall-hung water bottle, some straw and cedar shavings on the floor, and a bowl of nuts and alfalfa granola in a bowl by the phone. Oh, and a computer.:sigh: Boring, huh? I think I'll go play on the wheel thingy for a bit...

A mango tree that I've been trying to get bigger than about a foot tall for about 6 years, a giant pillow for the cats so they will stay off my keyboard, and a circa 1950's barometer embedded in lucite.

I actually have a separate chair for the cats. As soon as I am in my office Stitch wants in my lap and Yoko circles the chair. After about 10 minutes Stitch will get in the other chair as long as it's right next to me. Yoko finally settles somewhere around my feet. Then Boomer (who is handicapped and can't get around well) meows constantly trying to figure out where we all went.

We have three cats as well, Spuzzy the calico is always outside gnawing the brains out of mice (seriously she only eats brains), Nico the siamese and only male bounds around the office like an elephant trying to tell me stuff with weird siamese talk that I have no idea what it's all about much of the day and Stella (half siamese) attaches herself to my hip every waking and sleeping moment of the day I'm home and would be happiest laying across the keyboard while I'm typing if I let her. Nico likes his milk, we put out some for him on Saturday morning, went to a wedding and party saturday night, were hung over and slothish yesterday, this morning I realized the milk was still in the bowel and a weird green color and he was slurping it up like it was some kind of delicacy.

At the office: tie, hat, golf ball, other useless nicknacks along those lines. Also, a candlestick in the shape of bony hands raising a skull. At home: a dart board, a tomato plant, some sort of huge leafy plant, some sort of vine.

A friend of mine has a small Cartman[^] plush toy, maybe 8 inches tall. A plush toy Bob sitting on my monitor would rock. :-D Chris, get those made for the CP shop...I'll be first in line to get one. :-D > I at least have Star Wars stuff to offset the estrogen! As long as it's not Jar-Jar.

Pretty much. Just mix in the KGB, nazi eskimos, and a blind go-go dancer and you can see my quandry clear as day. :~

Hmm. At the moment, two of our three archangels are here with me. Raphael (the Fat One) is sleeping on the desk next to my elbow, snoring at somewhere close to 95dB. Michael (the Shy One) is asleep on the bed. He's tired from beating up the Fat One a few minutes ago. The remaining archangel (Gabriel) is downstairs, plotting to capture and consume the new cockatiel my wife got a few days ago. Good luck, Gabe. The two non-archangels (the females, Cali-Whumpus and Canada) are on bat patrol.

You mean you don't have the urge to have a framed picture of a cartoon alien? I at least have Star Wars stuff to offset the estrogen!

I worked with a guy who had tons of Star Wars stuff. People called him Nancy though, so I'm not so sure it offsets the estrogen too much. ;P

1- A calendar from my sister's old apartment complex. The pictures are terrible, but I hang it up to remind me that some people continue to get paid no matter how crappy they are at what they do. 2- A quote from Roger Wright on desk clutter 3- A quote from codefrog on teamwork. 4- A false bamboo plant, which has survived weeks without water and months with nothing but flourescent lighting. A real trooper. 5- My headphones 6- Books on MFC, VB, computer architecture and C++ 7- company magazines 8- a tape drive and blank tapes 9- paper, pens, random illegible notes, a coffee mug and coaster (actual coaster not a CD) and a bottle in case I remember to water the bamboo. 10- a dry erase board 11- A chart of ASCII/EBCDIC characters 12- some notes related to projects. 13- A nameplate that says Black Warrior
