Final Nail in the Bush Coffin?

Perhaps he was speaking in a similar vein as what he was replying to. Do I know for sure... nope. I didn't read the article (just the post) mainly because the SB is a place to bitch and never learn. Also, making a joke is not ingorance. If you cannot tell the difference, and there really is nothing more to say.

correct. I was replying to the constant drum beat of, pick one, Bush lied, Bush stole the election, Bush is trying to frighten us, Bush is stealing our rights, Bush is deflowering our women (wait, wrong guy). In this particular case, the non-Al Q. connection is old news and is totally irrelevant. More over you can't trust the accuracy of the report.

I see your point on this, and perhaps I should've worded that better. It's not like the guy is Hitler. He's trying to do what he thinks is right. If people don't agree, they are welcome to do the same; he'll be out in 2008. He made a choice and is sticking by that. Was it a bad choice, that's what's open for debate. But, I'd rather a president not afraid to act because when the time comes he won't be afraid to act again when protecting this country. But, my real point is, I don't see how somebody can spend all their days bitching about someone else's work/decision. If you care that much, then why not go make a change yourself? What is bitching for years on end gonna solve? This goes both ways btw. I just kinda piggybacked on Ed's thread. I'm getting good at that actually.

Changing your "position" based on your own ingenuity or hard work is one thing - people assume you've earned it. Being born rich can be entirely different - the automatic assumption is you were handed everything on a silver platter and you've earned nothing. You are forgetting Bush didn't write the 2002 intelligence reports, he AND congress believed them to be true and therefore acted upon them. Don't single Bush out he didn't write the reports or go to war by himself. If you want to complain, complain about the congressmen also and stop being so narrow minded.
Exactly!

Exactly! And he is forgetting the CIA had no boss! Tenet deserved that medal he got for those fake reports. Cheney never pressured CIA for those fake reports. No one is accountable! Sh*t just happens! When will these lefties learn about it? After all, it's just 2,980 dead american soldiers, 120,000 dead Iraqis and 100 billion dollars wasted. What's the big deal?

How many millionaires in the world do you think become president? And, It's not like a father being president is a guaranteed way to become president either, otherwise you'd see that happening with every other president. But, I won't suppose you'd bother applying logic here.

Number of millionaires >>>>> number of presidents. How many (recent) presidents have not been millionaires?

Yeah, that's the _ass_umption. :-) My wife was telling me a story the other day of a very wealthy family she knows, where the parents didn't spoil their children, as they could have easily done. On the contrary, the children received very limited resources and were told that if they wanted more, they would have to work for it (by doing chores, etc.). This taught them the value of money and what it took to earn it. I have a feeling that wealthy parents who spend time learning how to properly raise their kids also follow a similar approach to avoid raising spoiled brats.

Wrong person? Who was the boss, both of the "inteligence" and the army? No one can fix more than 100,000 people dead and 100 billion wasted, but "responsible" still has some meaning in english language, right? Think like this: how many other people's life and money you wasted?

Should the leader go down with the ship? I think so. But, you're missing the point. All day long I see people here (mostly dems I should say) bitching about Bush, Bush, Bush. Tell me, just what do you think will make sure something like this will never happen again? If you only blame Bush, you ain't getting it. Also, the president isn't God, there are checks and balances. He just made the call over some screw ups apparently. Only replacing him and only blaming him still leaves the door wide open for those screw ups to repeat.

Can you say MONICA LEWINSKY! I have major conservative values but even so it is still horribly obvious that the right-wing really does suck hypocrisy through a fire hose.

For how many months or years did we see all day long people (mostly republicans) bitching about MONICA LEWINSKY! And what the fuck did that have to do with running the country. Not a single thing. Now you want to blame democrats for not approving of the way GWB is running the free world? :wtf: Get a fucking grip!

A Senate Intelligence Committee report discloses for the first time an October 2005 CIA assessment that prior to the war Saddam's government "did not have a relationship, harbor, or turn a blind eye toward Zarqawi and his associates." It concludes that postwar findings do not support a 2002 intelligence community report that Iraq was reconstituting its nuclear program, possessed biological weapons or ever developed mobile facilities for producing biological warfare agents.[^]

He's the commander-in-chief and responsible for the military resources of this nation. If you now want to let him off the hook, so be it, but you'll lose your credibility to blame future democratic or republican commander-in-chiefs for their screw-ups.

Truthfully, I blame Congress more than Bush. They abrogated their constitutional authority to declare war and now go around whining "we didn't know he was planning to invade Iraq". What did they think? He was joking?
