Unscientific survey time - how many hours / week do you spend working? This would include paid or unpaid overtime, plus moonlighting. Taking time off to spend some time training does not count... Curious.

Charlie Gilley Will program for food... Whoever said children were cheaper by the dozen... lied. My son's PDA is an M249 SAW. My other son commutes in an M1A2 Abrams

I work for a company that's a little out of the norm in this respect, in that the building is cleared out and locked at a very decent hour. Thus, no way to get much over 42-45 hours, even by working through your lunch. Don't we need more companies like this? Another interesting question would be, How many hours/week do you spend working on your own personal projects? Think that I'd be nearing at least 30 hours on this figure. Mitch

Kind of odd. I bet if you averaged the first post of the day for a user with their last post of the day per day you'd get a pretty solid number. If I'm not working I'm not at CP or a computer. I'm out with my kids or I'm running a Nigerian Scam.

 Yeah, it'd be fun to see more stats... at one time, Nish was doing a weekly rundown, but i think it got to be too much.

I'm a real slacker ;P - I'm contracted to work 38 hours a week. I'll work up to 45 hours a week (paid overtime) if I feel like it or need to, going up to 50 if I'm really feeling motivated!

After becoming a dad, my limit is 40, I've released a few things over the years, they more hours you do, it will never any more reward (unless you own the company), and my children are more important than the computer.

I spend more time working on my personal projects. I used to work overime at one my previous jobs, there was paid overtime, at some latter jobs there wasn't, so I didn't bother. If I can't get the work down in my normal 40 hour week, tough. Companies don't pay me enough to give up time with my wife and familiy. As someone once said, Life is worth working for, but there is now work worth living for. I am also lucky enough to have my hobby as my job, so life is sweet.

Usually 37.5, sometimes an hour or two more but rarely more. My last pay rise (half the one I had the year before) says not to work longer than needed - I don't get paid overtime.

Unscientific survey time - how many hours / week do you spend working? This would include paid or unpaid overtime, plus moonlighting. Taking time off to spend some time training does not count... Curious.

About 40 in my main job and up to about another 10 on private work at home.

Words fade as the meanings change, but somehow, it don't bother me.
