Pet Hates

Thank god that guns are illegal in America too. My pet hates are sin and the devil and booze.
Don't forget to add 'hate' to that list. Hating hate is where it's at.

To follow on with an appropriate post after VBListCtrl, I thought I would share a pet hate with you. I am parked at my desk in the library again, reading papers, the guy close to me has just broken wind. Its nasty, birds are dropping out of the sky outside, people are leaving for coffee, girls are making frustrated sounds, guys are raising their eyes to heaven, small children are weeping and there is much gnashing of teeth. Thank God firearms aren't legal in Ireland. So to start another flame war this fine evening. Lets hear your pet hates your fellow office workers/library mates/people you share close personal space with, engage in.

Today my biggest gripe is people who make changes that effect 70% of the company and don't tell anyone about it, not to mention there is no documentation to read even once you do find out.

I am parked at my desk in the library again, reading papers, the guy close to me has just broken wind. Its nasty, birds are dropping out of the sky outside, people are leaving for coffee, girls are making frustrated sounds, guys are raising their eyes to heaven, small children are weeping and there is much gnashing of teeth. Thank God firearms aren't legal in Ireland. So to start another flame war this fine evening. Lets hear your pet hates your fellow office workers/library mates/people you share close personal space with, engage in.

Did you set fire to him? :rolleyes: Pet hates - not really but I don't like people who go out of their way to make things worse for others when with the same effort they could have made things better, or just done nothing and left alone. Elaine :rose:

At my last job I had a guy who tapped his feet all day on the plastic floor protector. I had to wear headphones all day. We had the "vultures" who looked out for any infraction. One guy was accused of spending too much time in the kitchen making tea. But my boss could break all the rules (like internet usage) and no one said boo. So uneven application of rules--that REALLY upsets me. This is only day three of my new job. Seems to be a lot of football talk--it doesn't bother me but since I only follow baseball I am finding it hard to get into conversations. Thinking back along my entire career, I think I hate the gophers most. These are the people who stick their heads over the cubicle wall (like a gopher) at any strange noise.

Horray for tall cube walls. I'm 6'2", and ours are either at eye level for me or a half foot taller, mostly the latter so only really tall people can see over.

People who want me to fix problems they might as well could've fixed on their own. I also hate it when people make stupid and repetitive noises for no particular reason.

I used to sit next to another smoker. Every morning at about 8:15 he'd cough for five mins then spit a big wad into the garbage bin. The sound of that mess hitting the bin liner stays with me to this day Oh, and there was no full fat milk for my cerial this morning. Low fat milk is my number one pet hate.
