ZZ Top all the way. And other classic rock... the Stones, Cream, Led Zep... good stuff to get your productivity way up.

Yep, those are good. But I can spend my hole day listening to George Harrison. Or the Traveling Wilburys. Or Paul McCartney.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I'm programming, I love to crank some music. Whether it's Punk , Rock or Rap, I don't care. Music gets me and my brain going! How about everyone else? The All American Rejects expecially! YEAH!!!!

Blech. Especially to Punk and Rap, though some Rock is programmable to. Pretty much, I have to have silence in order to think. The only time I listen to music is when I'm coding something that doesn't require thinking, and the music is a nice distraction that keeps me from clicking on the "hire an Indian to do this gruntwork" link. No, that's what the conductor uses. If you want to "beat" a Bruckner symphony, you'll need to play some Bach. ;P

I usually listen to Enya or I listen to some trance internet radio using iTunes or WinAmp. I'm more of a Gun's and Roses type of guy, but I just can't listen to that while working, it's too distracting. Maybe some soft tunes from Led Zepelin would work :)

Currently volume 3 of the Hyperion complete Schumann songs. Mostly lots of Bach. Concentrates the mind. Wagner or similar on a Friday afternoon. And yes, my degree was in Music.

Classical music when coding; baroque when I need to focus on something and isolate from the rest of the world. Everything (except heavy metal/acid/house) when writing docs or doing someting else.

Having not heard the word << Progging >> before, I pasted it into Google. The top hit is "Source: Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913)" - nothing to do with computers ! http://dict.die.net/progging/

I don't know about anyone else, but when I'm programming, I love to crank some music. Whether it's Punk , Rock or Rap, I don't care. Music gets me and my brain going! How about everyone else? The All American Rejects expecially! YEAH!!!!
