The history of Ghana is irrelevant, you must have noticed. It is only the history of others that matters.

Please learn a bit, stop being childish. Ghana never had a leader until 1957. Grow up! take the challenge mention the name of one leader you know (not to even mention the criminal history). Best regards, Paul.

I see. Your claim is that since there was no "leader" there were no ghanaian people and therefore no ghanaian history. Whatever happened before 1957 is someonelse's problem. For example, the doings of the Empire of Ghana matter not at all. BTW, a friend told me once that "ghana" means "warrior" or "warrior prince" (i don't remember which) but it must surely be a lie... Next you will tell me that because you put your hand on your face, you have become invisible.

I do not say this to discourage anyone, and infact I am happy with my current company but please get ready for the worse, for it is not all cool in Japan. And finally the truth comes through. Yes, the life of the foreigner is hard, far harder than most think. I speak with knowledge and experiences that include life threatening situations because of xenophobia/racism/bigroty. It is not difficult at all for me to empathise with your situation. However, if you let your feelings cloud your judgement, these ugly feelings will forever be in your heart. Free yourself.

Sure sure. Nothing to do at all. Well then, ghanaians didn't exist before 1957. Even beyond that date, ghanaians have always been straight arrows. Jerry Rawlings, for example, is a figment of my imagination.

Ready for the worst because it is not all cool? Now now. The original poster claimed delusion as proof which you happily endorsed and magnified without any other justification than a chip on your shoulder. Now you say that "it is not all cool". For goodness sake, WHERE on earth it is all cool? And when did he say SUCH a thing? The truth is that Japan is a good place to live compared to many others. Not perfect but nowhere is (except Ghana, grant you).

Theo only thing i dont like about Japan is that they have banned firearms, but they probably dont need them because they probably have a less violent society than America.

Nice, this is what I knew you are talking about...lead me on... Now, tell me where these were tried, found guilty and sentense to death but are now being honored as heros. As a reminder, where you missed the point is the issue has nothing to do with ordinary Japanese (civilian or army), it is about the leaders of those times. Best regards, Paul.

Why are you always find a way to escape? It's like you try to argue but when you have someone in front of you that obviously has more world culture than you, you just say that it's not the point... I don't even want to enter this discussion, but I'm reading and I find interesting that you always try to escape. You ask names, they give you names and then ou just find an excuse to escape one more time...

You think that what you were taught in school is 'true history' ? I think you're overreacting. You read something in a paper, so you're making gross assumptions about Japanese culture - do you think that each successive generation of Japanese should be given a massive guilt trip about the past ?

A high percentage of gun crime in South Africa is performed with stolen legal-firearms. People buy guns to protect themselves but are then disarmed by the first robber who goes on to use that gun in further crime. Most often the person has no time to get their gun. Legally it has to be stored unloaded in a safe. The robber knows this and forces the person to get their gun. Guns are valuable. Most people who buy guns cannot use them. They should get training but they don't. The gun is useless to them. Many people who do get training can't peform under the pressure and fear of a real situation. I don't think I would have the wherewithal to defend myself capably with a gun in a robbery situation. In both cases the gun ends up being more of a danger because it escalates the crime. Many crimes that would have "just" been a robbery end in a murder when a gun is involved. The robber is more scared when the victim has a gun and they tend to react accordingly. Many people have died during robberies because of their own guns. Additionally the law is very strict when it comes to self defense. In many cases victims have been sent to jail for shooting a criminal. A friend's father was convicted and sent to prison when he shot and killed a robber. This was after the robber shot my friend's father in the leg and then started to run off. The law favours life over posessions, rather let the robber get away and live another day yourself. The bottom line is guns don't work. Or they do, they work for criminals very well, not the normal man on the street. You may be an ex-navy seal with killing experience but you are a minority. And if you aren't you don't know how capable you are until you have been in a situation. And I'd rather not find out I am incapable while holding a gun. I don't believe people in the US have had much success using guns to protect themselves either. Not in this day and age.
