Intelligence Test

This test is really culture bound. Someone whose mother tongue is not English should have a harder time doing it.

The fundamental problem with these types of tests is they are biased. If you've never heard a term such as ounce, etc. it's impossible to tell this stuff and does not thing to indicate how smart you are. That's another fallacy actually. Most people confuse intelligence (the rate in which you learn and how you think) with education (what you know). A real IQ test should only test the former.

I think you are right. One of these questions was "24 F P S" i solved it very quickly "24 frames per second" because i have been wokring in vidoe formats for years, otherwise i do think i could ever do. Anyway i have enjoyed the test.

What about if you know a particular phrase, whether from literature or another culture, that fits the criteria? Then it would count it as wrong whereas it could be "right". Not that I can think of any, but someone probably can. It also seems rather knowledge based - technical knowledge, or even knowledge that needs some element of technology, even if that technology is common here, it presumably means it does have a cultural bias. Which isn't really a problem except it says it doesn't. Anyway, I am clearly an idiot because I have got 4 - and one maybe only because it is in the comments here further down. I am also not finding it fun - like it claims!! (I hate word based tests and exercises. They just don't do it for me and I am terrible at them. With this test I just can't come up with answers, like "7 C in a R" my brain produces answers like, "7 cats in a room". I tried telling it that that's not useful, but once it comes up with a sentence it likes it won't give me anything else. Stupid brain.) Anyway, I know that all intelligence tests are measuring X and intelligence is probably Y, blah blah, I just like complaining :)

ok, I just looked at the answers and most of them are NOTHING like what I was thinking of for answers. Like, the example, "24 hours in a day" is reasonable, but most of the other ones are things I don't know, or are not common phrases and just as reasonable as anything else someone might come up with, so long as it is true. Anyway, I'm not saying it might not be fun for some people but that is kind of weird for an intelligence test.
