Anyway, as I said, if I'm wrong on this, I'll be happy to chow down on the soggy yet tasty box of Retard Puffs.
Sounds like a good plan, enjoy:cool:

May I guess that you feel insulted by the map?
Really depends on it's intent. The marketing angle you spoke of doesn't insult me at all. But, until I know the intent it's kinda like the boy who cried wolf, so I'm probably jumping the gun a bit. But, then again, stuff like that does happen, so it's not completely without warrant. Anyway, as I said, if I'm wrong on this, I'll be happy to chow down on the soggy yet tasty box of Retard Puffs.

Never!!! :-D That's probably the wisest thing to do though.

This picture was pinned to the wall in my apartment. I cut it out of a newspaper about seven years ago. Today I took off my hundreds of pictures and postcards, because I'll move to another house quite soon. When I found this one again, I thought every CPian should try and find his home town on the world map... http://www.binary-universe.net/etc/linkedImages/worldMap.jpg^ Have a great weekend :-D coco

The intention of the map advertisement was to show that on a world exposition without America something is clearly missing.
To this I can agree, but I have to ask, why prey tell would you ask a site that has the majority of people from the US to find their hometown on a map that has no US? Political point? You forgot it had no US? Crazy joke that flew right over my head? What gives?

My thought was that it was something about an exhibition where they were considering leaving out the US, and then pointing out how dumb that was. My first guess when I saw the poster - and yes, I admit it was a very brief look! - was that it was a pro US poster. A "We should include the US" poster. Maybe I need to go play with the butterflies and pixies and other happy creatures who are also wearing rose coloured glasses ;)

Didn't you notice the ";P" which suggests that it was a lighthearted jibe or joke?

Well, it makes more sense given the context now. But, my first take was one that wasn't aware of the expo issues and it seemed like a "we should exclude the US" poster. And, asking us to find our home town on a poster like that would be salt on the wound. But, oh well.

If you let me borrow those glasses sometimes, I'll give you a bowl of my Retard Puffs. Hey, what a deal! :-D And no, this is not me calling you a retard if some people see it coming across that way.

I reckon the rose coloured glasses with a big bowl or Retard Puffs would be interesting. ;)
