Do you believe that software developers smoke more than others? I used to smoke when thinking about development(specially in design phase). Can you smoke in your office? Yours, M.Mehrdad.M

No, i dont think so. i have seen many people who smoke more than software engineers.

This question is not applicable to me. I DONT SMOKE ;P. but most of my co-workers smoke(almost 60% of my co-workers smoke), but not in the office. They usually go to cafeteria when they feel like smoking.

[Old topic, Developers in CP hate smoking]. I can smoke at work. Ofcourse, not sitting in my cubicle. Inside the campus I can smoke. But no matter where I am , I never smoke.

Well, clearly, when he actually thinks, his thoughts are talking to him. Like an external (or internal maybe?) voice. So, he prefers to keep it quiet means that he prefers not to think;P:-D:laugh:

There are no smoking developers on the team I work on, I can't speak for the other team, but I don't think there are people smoking over there. It's getting a bit out of fasion here in the Netherlands.

I wouldn't work in any office where they allowed smoking. I was subjected to enough of that filth at home when I was a child.

No. Most software developers that I know don't smoke. The national average in Scotland is about 35% smoke. From my own, non-scientific anecdodal, observations about 10% of software developers smoke.

                            No. It is illegal here.

just a excuse for smoking. if majority of non-smoker developers can design so can anyone.
