Well, clearly, when he actually thinks, his thoughts are talking to him. Like an external (or internal maybe?) voice. So, he prefers to keep it quiet means that he prefers not to think;P:-D:laugh:

Do you believe that software developers smoke more than others? I used to smoke when thinking about development(specially in design phase). Can you smoke in your office? Yours, M.Mehrdad.M

There are no smoking developers on the team I work on, I can't speak for the other team, but I don't think there are people smoking over there. It's getting a bit out of fasion here in the Netherlands.

I wouldn't work in any office where they allowed smoking. I was subjected to enough of that filth at home when I was a child.

No. Most software developers that I know don't smoke. The national average in Scotland is about 35% smoke. From my own, non-scientific anecdodal, observations about 10% of software developers smoke.

just a excuse for smoking. if majority of non-smoker developers can design so can anyone.

I don't think those two statements back each other up. If you smoke 2 cigarettes a day then you have not stopped smoking, you have just cut down.

Don't you think its a way too much... If you manage to have just 3 in the working hours then I think you can easily cut down the numbers outside office too.
