I wanted to try out the XNA games studio at home but apparently it requires you to install C# express and won't work with the VS 2005 install that I already have. If I install C# express in addition to VS 2005 does anybody know if they will play nice together? Or is this going to cause a headache?

Do you have C# installed in your current installation? If not, add it from the install source used to install the current VS installation and try XNA again.

I do have C# (actually only C#). The "Game Studio" requires specifically C# express and won't work with other versions of VS 2005 (the documentation for game studio on Microsoft's website specifies this). This is fine so long as I C# express and VS 2005 standard edition can peacefully coexist. I just don't want to have to find out the hard way!
