You did notice that Bob has no visible mouth, right? I always assumed he communicated through telepathy (and drank through osmosis); is there a FAQ on this somewhere? --------_**

    I don't think that I'm a sell-out but I do "Enjoy Coke!"...

I vote for Bob to have a female voice !!!! Christian The tragedy of cyberspace - that so much can travel so far, and yet mean so little. And you don't spend much time with the opposite sex working day and night, unless the pizza delivery person happens to be young, cute, single and female. So as I continue to work on my screen saver I get new ideas and find new requirements. The latest requirement is voice of Bob. I want to add certain voices like "Please wait downloading from web", "Code project who's who", "You are watching the CodeProject Top 10 posters" etc. Any volunteers, who think that they can be Bob?

I personally believe that Bob is suited to a nice Welsh accent. Anything else would just sound so wrong that wrong would have to be re-defined in the dictionary to be even wronger. With Bob being an alien, our concepts of the connection between gender, name and voice might not even apply. Bob is certainly not his name anyway. That's just the name that we earthlings gave him because we don't speak his tongue. For all we know, the entire concept of gender might be different on his planet. Are you listening Rama? Basically, I'm just saying that if my computer is going to talk to me, I'd much rather it be the silky voice of a female as opposed to the harsh, bass voice of a male. Maybe you could have a male/female option on the voice settings? So you've decided he should use John then? ;P Mullfled - He doesn't want anyone to recognise him for fear of identification. Female - You just have to look at his profile picture to know something just isn't right. Welsh - The Welsh have plenty of grassy hill farms, and they in turn house plenty of sheep. Big wooly white ones with open minds. Aussie - He like to suck (edit: "up to") Chris to stop him going to the police with those black and white six by fours from his last vacation. Booming - If someone tells you beastiality is easy they are lying. All the baaaing to fit in totally nackers your voice box. God-Like - Now come on really. Who here can honestly say they do not have a shrine to John Simmons in their bedroom? It is so easy to take the piss out of someone when they are not here to defend themselves. ____________________ David Wulff hu·mour Pronunciation Key (hymr) n. & v. Another possibility is to make a voice which doesn't sound like an adult at all. Children's voices tend to be less gender-specific. For example, Bart Simpson's voice is actually done by a woman.
