That is a great idea. Maybe once every year people can vote on things like "The most useless article" or "most complex article". That could be fun.

Is this what the lounge is headed for? Simply a place to make fun of other people? If so, it's going to drag CP down to the level of other, lesser sites. Many who bring value to you through their knowledge, humor or conversation will lose interest and find another place to hang out, one that isn't simply a harbor for trolls, flame wars and other such contentious behavior. When people intentionally and consistently make a nuisance of themselves, such as He Who Shall Not Be Named, I know it's hard to resist the temptation to take a shot. But what about this guy? You read an article, didn't care for the skill set he listed, and consequently decided to make him a target for public ridicule? Norm, my intention isn't to single you out personally. :rose: In fact, as one of the very early members, you're one of the guys who could be setting a good example for others here. However, this post just serves to point out how the atmosphere in general has been shifting, from one of community to an environment of mean spirited commentary and personal attacks. I really don't see how any of us benefit from such a shift.

Yea they were just suggestions. I do think that it would be fun to have a comp along those lines. Maybe there could be a "CP Turkey" award (like the awards for the other articles).

Well you have to draw a line somewhere. I believe that something like this would never have been started towards a active CP member, or someone who was just genuinly a bad programmer. The fact is this guy came in looking for a way to advertise himself. Hdidn't do it to contribute or share knowledge, he did it for himself.

Whether or not your assumptions about his intentions are true, hauling someone out to the town square and publicly ridiculing them doesn't seem to be any better than the crime he's accused of.

There is a difference to make fun of some bad article, no documentation, doing something very simple like in this case, and to make fun of something that we don't understand or we "believe" is incorrect but has some kind of fundaments. I don’t think how to insert a CLOB on Oracle apply the same way like Black Hole content. :) Still I think could be fun to create a section about those articles. Just came to my mind those could be called MULA (most useless articles) :) MULA means mule, donkey in Spanish :)

Jeez get a life What I really meant to say was I found it almost funny that somebody could post rubbish on the website, only seeing of professional this site is and expect not to get ridiculed for it especially when he is advistising his 'so called' creditentials.
