True...perhaps because good software devs aren't usually good UI designers?

I'm beginning to think we have a new candidate for he-who-shall-not-be-named.

Naw, he-who-shall-not-be-named is amusing, in a twisted kind of way. It's easy to get him to fly off the handle and have a truly atomic flamefest. The other guy is just sad.

Via dotnetkicks[^]: Yahoo is demoing at CES[^] their next generation Yahoo Messenger, built in .NET 3 and WPF. Looks great!

So... does it work? Personally I'd be happy to go back to monochrome green-screens if I could find some software that works. Vista appears to be nothing but a makeover of the interface, and it doesn't work as well as previous versions. I really miss the days when a person had to be computer-literate to operate a computer and we really didn't care about flashy graphics, only if the thing worked :)

Does it include the usual spyware and other junkware? [OT] Is WPF fully supported under Windows XP?

Yahoo IM does not. You are thinking of "anything made by AOL"
