I do! I have a 6 gig ipod mini that never leaves my desk at work. Sometimes I spend more time clicking through songs than coding! ;P I mainly listen to a recent rock bands (Breaking Benjamin, Cold, 32 Leaves, Trapt), but I also listen to some Christian rock (Kutless, 12 Stones etc)...they have similar sounds to the bands I mentioned above.

sadly I do not. :sigh: I can't stand stuff put in my ears and my colleagues probably don't want me to listen to my music all day long :->

Most of the time I listen while I code. My playlist is on Last.fm[^]. Currently listening to a mix of ambient/downtempo/lounge.

I've had a "Best of Mozart" CD in my car for weeks now. Some great driving music.

When I'm here in the office by myself, I put on GotRadio classic rock on Media Player. At home when I'm working on my own projects I've got the Stones, ZZ Top, Clapton, Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, and all my classics. Really helps my productivity. But why is it that when I was growing up my parents would yell at me to "turn down that damn music" - and now my wife and kids do the same :( Sheesh!

You know, this whole firewall Internet security nazi'ism is rapidly becoming NOT a laughing matter, IMO. If there ever was a time when the idea was to protect the data, computers, and network, it seems we've moved far far beyond that, to micromanaging the employee's work habits "because we can". All under the guise of security, of course. If there's something fundamentally wrong with what are employees are doing (and I question that) then the root issues should be addressed rather than applying bandaids that we laugh at, when we should be doing anything but laughing at how we are so completely controlled. I listen to music most of the day. I started working from home a few months ago and was starting to get sick of regular radio so I decided to sign up for Sirius and now have that playing pretty much all day at home. Brett

I agree. It is pretty bad when you can't go to Mens Health because of "Provocative Attire". I probably surf the net more than I should...but then again, I get more work done in half a day than most of the people around me can in 2 days. Since we are on salary it is evident that we are getting paid to do a job...not for the number of hours we work. Therefore they shouldn't require 40 hrs to be worked onsite or be filtering our internet!

I've had a "Best of Mozart" CD in my car for weeks now. Some great driving music.
