Just because you have the capacity does not mean you apply it to political subject matter. Once emotion takes over, it doesn't matter what your IQ is. The post I replied to gave no indication of your superior IQ and logic skills. It is just another example of right wing nut hysteria based on emotion rather than facts and logic. Your reply to me, or "challenge", did nothing to address it. Therefore it is a hollow challenge at best. You have the opportunity "right now" to utilize your self proclaimed superiority. Now what will you do with the opportunity?

What "overlords". Morality exists, period. It does not change just because someone says so. According to your Christian beliefs, when your day comes you will discover the truth of your own morality. What anyone here and now claims to know will not effect the reckoning that you will face at that time. Here's what I can tell you about "your version" of Christianity. If you and people like you are going to be in heaven just because you claim to "believe" in Jesus, that all of your hate mongering and blood thirst will be forgiven because you claim to "believe" in Jesus, that your family pride based superior, compassionless, intolerant version of morality is forgiven, then heaven is the last place I want to be.

If you are referring to Tim Hardaway he is neither 7 foot nor 300 pounds. He is, or at least was, a great basketball player none the less. What is interesting in your statement however is that you imply, I think, that because of someone's size or financial status that somehow "proves" their sense of morality is correct. I don't believe I can find the words to accurately describe how warped that is.

I see. So all those statements you made of "what" Christianity is were not based on your own personal experience of Christianity. Interesting, but you should not find it surprising that someone would take your statements to mean you are a practicing Christian.

Next thing you know, they'll be allowing women, blacks, rednecks, and gays equal opportunities to work for them! How leftist of them! OMG, and look at this: the guy later apologized for his statements: "I want to apologize for my comments yesterday regarding gays," Hardaway's statement said. "My comments were offensive and I regret making them. I'm sorry to anyone I have offended." That leftist brainwashing machine sure acts quickly.

Redneck is not a class, race, income range, or social status: it is a state of mind :)

People often ask about what is meant by having a 'secular progressive moral agenda' forced upon our society. Here [^] is a perfect example of what it means. The guy is banished for expressing opinions outside the main stream of modern, secular, moral views. There is absolutely no difference between this kind of social ostricism and what we would have if our society had, in fact, been taken over by a religious orthodoxy of some kind and gay people were banned for their views. It is exactly the same kind of social phenomenon and proof that humanity can never really escape religious-like behavior regardless of how far we push actual religion out of our lives. It is always there.

Should not private entities (like corporations, of which the NBA is one) be able to decide who they do or do not employ based on damn near an curricula they like?

Homosexuality is extremely offensive and repulsive to a very large number of people in the world. He has the right to express his own personal views on the subject without being punished. I think it is going a bit too far to punish gays for being gay but there is only so much you can tolerate. That guy has the right to express his views just as a gay person has the right to express his views. I knew a gay guy at work. I went outside for a cigarette and he was out there smoking too. I didn't know he was gay at the time, I barely knew him. He showed me a CD he had just bought and it seemed like a girly CD. He then sung a song from it and I realized there was something different about him. He then told me that his personal life is none of people's business and he keeps everything secrete. He then told me that he lives a controversial life? I then asked "Controversial?" He told me he was gay and he was adement that he was going to hell, he kept saying he was going to hell. I was feeling very uncomfortable at this time and I told him he wast going to hell and asked why he told me he was gay right after telling me he doesn't tell people anything about him. He said I seemed like a laid back guy and could trust me with the information. I never had any problems with him because he knew that I wasn't gay and kept his conversations normal. However when I was in high school there was a gay guy who really flaunted it and wore dresses sometimes and was really upfront about his gayness. That is when they really push there luck because it strikes nerves and can cause great offense to many people. That kind of shit can really make my blood boil, because it is completely uncalled for.

Over time this world has witnessed horrendous and obnoxious words and writings. Some words and writings can often lead to unpredictability, uncertainty, civil tensions and wars. Such words and writings from the likes oh Hitler, Abu Usamah, and many more should be discouraged perhaps even outlawed. And words and writings that attacks a person because of their (1) sexuality, (2) religion, (3) politics, (4) wealth and so on must also be subjected to same restrictions.

Modern liberalism has never achieved anything other than giving Secularists something to feel morally superior about

Codes of acceptable behaviour are always there, certainly. However, the degree of authoritarianism of those codes can vary greatly. I think that those who transgress on secular orthodoxy generally get off pretty lightly. Incidentally, did you notice the campaign against the two bloggers who worked for John Edwards but were eventually forced to resign because they had said some critical things about the Catholic church? Neither of them, as far as I know, ever said: "I hate Catholic people...I let it be known I don't like Catholic people and I don't like to be around Catholic people. I am Catholophobic. I don't like it. It shouldn't be in the world or in the United States sports." At least one of the bloggers voted for John Kerry, a Catholic, in the last Presidential election. Apparently, the threshold for "unacceptable hostility" toward Catholics is fairly low.

I disagree fully. Your thoughts and words should not be censored. It is your most basic right as an intelligent being to be able to express your views with text, speech, hand gestures and pictures even if your views are unpopular. Its so important and something that I feel very strongly about. Everyone has the right to express his or her views, if we didn't then this soapbox wouldn't exist and no body would be complaining about Muslims and Christians or Hillery and Chavez.
