The best tv show

Off the top of my head I'd have to say Red Dwarf, Stargate SG-1, Trigger Happy TV, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Coupling and Father Ted. :) Unfortunately with the exception of Doctor Who and Torchwood none of them are being produced anymore. C'est la vie. :rose:

That's OK. The British/Irish sense of humour is very different to that of most US citizens. Shows like Friends and Seinfeld leave me cold, for example - I just don't find them funny. On the other hand, show me a clip of Kryten[^] being taught by Lister[^] to call Rimmer[^]a "smeghead" and I'm in stitches. :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Red Dwarf is great! I too can't stand most american comedy shows, the sort that need a laugh track to tell the audience when to laugh. That just seems lame to me. I find stargate (specially pre-season 8) incredibly amusing however, and House as well.

Red Dwarf is great! I too can't stand most american comedy shows, the sort that need a laugh track to tell the audience when to laugh. That just seems lame to me. I find stargate (specially pre-season 8) incredibly amusing however, and House as well.

That's pretty much my take on it too. Laugh tracks are just lame. I've not seen House. I'll keep an eye out for it. :)

I watched that once. I got as far as the first ad break. It is just another generic American show. They take a pretty girl and do something to make her look plain and less appealing and at some point in the future the ugly duckling will become a beautiful swan. In those transformations I usually find that I preferred the ugly duckling.
