Holy moly! That's impressive. Is that from at work or your own server?

This is a cool web site I just ran across: http://speedtest.net[^] I tried from my desktop... came up with: Download: 4,595 kb/s Upload: 364 kb/s Out of curiousity, I also tried it from my server and came up with: Download: 11,768 kb/s Upload: 5,611 kb/s It's under load though, so I guess that's why the upload is low. What does it show for you?

I got 39 kb/s down, 109 kb/s up. I'm assuming kb/s is kilobits per second and not kilobytes.

I just tried this 3 times and got 3 wildly different results. I tend to use a special app for speed testing my DSL connection. This is a good one for US/UK residents: MySpeed PC[^]

Someday I will have broadband internet and it will be good. I will have it hooked up to a wireless router so I can be connected using my laptop with zero wires. I want to have a good upload speed so I can share files using Windows Live Messenger. Man, I have been wanted broadband for years. I will get it someday though, at least by 2008. :sigh:
