Excellent IDE. But... There is one problem. You may encounter problems with compatibility of PHP version and some dll's (i can't remember them) that are responsible for obfuscating php code. As a result of this, you wouldn't be able to run ZendStudioServer and wouldn't be able to debug code. So consider this. Anyway, Zend Studio is just great for php programming.

I don't know. But I guess this problem may be easily solved by having the latest Zend Studio and not so latest php version, because Zend can't keep up with php in speed of version development.

Zend is definitely my IDE of choice. The owners of Zend actually were part of the original PHP team and their products are fantastic. Their support is great. I have nothing really bad to say about it. It does have some small performance issues but they are working on the next version now which is supposedly eliminating them. If you need a copy of Zend give me a buzz and I'll see if I can hook you up with a discount.

You can also use Visual Studio with Phalanger (see http://www.php-compiler.net[^] and www.codeplex.com/Phalanger[^]). If you use Phalanger as a runtime you can also debug the PHP application using standard VS debugging features :-).

You can also use Visual Studio with Phalanger (see http://www.php-compiler.net[^] and www.codeplex.com/Phalanger[^]). If you use Phalanger as a runtime you can also debug the PHP application using standard VS debugging features :-).

Out-fracking-standing. Now, maybe we'll be able to convince Chris to give us a PHP(.Net) forum...
