Well, my existing PDA is starting to flake out on me, so I've been considering what my needs truly are in this area. When I'm on the road I have my laptop, so I don't really need the calendar, nor do I care much about a portable mp3 player. Don't you have kids for this kind of thing? When I was young our TV and sound system had two remotes; my sister and me. My father would point and say the channel, volume, command etc. and we'd do it. More seriously; got a mobile phone? Does it have WiFi or Bluetooth? You might be able to point it at your local webserver.

I'll never have the stellar, save the whales reputation that you enjoy, but I have done at least one thing for the planet. I chose not to reproduce (figured one of me was enough). You can thank me later... :-D

Cheaper yet is a Nokia n770 on ebay from someone who had to have the n800. I've had the n770 for over a year and it works pretty good. A little flakey at times, but ok.
