Has anybody used any form of biometric security hardware and incorporated into an ASP.NET app? Any recommendations? Nearly a programming question...but not quite. Cheers

I originally thought this was some sort of weird experimental programming question using live mice mixed with code based on the header!:-D

What do you want to do with it. There are apis for this sort of stuff but biometrics are horridly unreliable.

One part of the application reveals *very* sensitive data. The client wants to make sure they know who is sitting in front of the keyboard whilst this is displayed. They want biometrics. I want a password they can type in!! They insist on finger scanners. I think the key thing is, the data will only be displayed for a few seconds, when they would have to swipe their finger again to continue reading. A tad overkill I reckon, but i don't know what their data is.

Well did they buy the finger scanner or what.If not you could search for products that have an sdk or com component you could hook into and recommend it to them.It depends since you are not clear well there are products finger scanners that integrate with windows logon (eg biologon).
