assuming that's 15% for 10,001 and up not 100,001+ I think those are the same splits as for fiction. I was mainly curious because I'd read that some sorts of technical books had much higher royalty rates that were balanced against more effort needed on the authors part, eg engineering textbooks that were submitted fully laid out using postscript/latex.

OK Nish, I will buy the book. I am a hobby programmer and I have made a desk top application using C++/MFC. It would be great to transform it to a web application. When I buy at Amazone I normally buy 2-3 books because of the postal fare to Europe. If you were to recommend two additional books, what would you choose given that I know nothing of C# and .net? Hi. Thanks , and a very interesting topic since this technique prevents a lot of work envolved in rebuilding an application when the existing application works good and can be used to incorporate in a new program that has more 'today's' requirements. I like the cover of the book also, I know there is a story behind the illustration serie they show and how Manning aquired those illustrations (The collection was purchased at an antiquarian flee market in the 'Garage' on West 26th street in Manhatten...). It's very nice to see a new illustration with your name next to it! So again congrats.

Thats quite an accomplishment. I enjoy reading programming and technical books. If I get into C++/CLI I will certainly consider your book. Its not to often you get to communicate directly with the author of the book you are reading, and I would be much more confident in buying a book from someone like you who is on The Code Project.
