Im a smoker too and while I'd rather have free ciggies Im happy for the government to tax it. We are responsible for our own addictions and should pay the cost of them Im also happy that our government tax petrol. What do you think happens when they decide to receive health care and can't afford it? Who pays it? If its in the emergency room, they can't deny care. If they have no insurance or money, it burdens the health care system. The taxes go to offset this reality. You don't have to like it. Vent away...
