Umm...i somewhat agree....but i think its your mistake to under-estimate the chances of fraud....i have worked with rentacoder...and also faced such unfair arbitration...the first time it was a horrifying experience ... i would have expected something like this in our country...but a company based in US is allowed to do this...terribly bad compared to its hype around the world.. (no offence meant towards the people living there)...comps like rentacoder are legally unethical business ...they know how to bend rules enough without breaking them... and so you should also try to learn that before entering into this unethically driven business.. not all customers are bad at rentacoder....but ppl with bad intentions will do so, no matter what...in those cases... i learnt how to deal with these unethical arbitrators and stupid buyers... example: at the slightest doubt about the buyers, give out older source codes and newer but leaky and time-bomb binaries (a little bit more work)... when they go to arbitration (which you must expect as unfair)...just extend it as long as possible...waste their time bcoz they did it with yours...never release the final code to buyers then...frustrate them, be professional with the arbitrator and praise him for his unfair decisions (esp that Mr. Ajay Bhatija is an absolute idiot) ...and just before you get bad points....give up...even if you loose your imp time...at the end you wont be as frustrated ...but wud experience a devilish happiness :mad: working for rentacoder is like trying to have a domestic lion ... so you better learn to handle it before you work with it... on the positive side you would learn about some of the bad faces of real business without actually having to start out one. -- modified at 7:17 Friday 4th May, 2007

Good advice, but the problem - as Christian has explained in excruciating detail - is that things are stacked against the coder at RAC, so if there's a dispute, you have no chance of winning. This thread made me start thinking once again about what it would be like if CP had a "premium content" section, with downloads of source code costing a few dollars (< $10), shared with the author. With the volume here at CP, even a $1 charge would quickly add up to $100's.

code written in such a way tat after a particular time has passed the code will cause application to shutdown or crash, behave in a manner that wasnt expected or corrupt its data...crash windows..crash the harddisk...change cmos passwords....the options are unlimited.. (neways that was my terminology)

i just want to say that stay away from arbitration at RAC....and minimize your pains when doing so. ofcourse you cant win in an unfair battle (unless spiderman comes to some help :) ) ... you will definitely lose in an RAC arbitration....just try to minimize your losses and maximize opponent's losses why do you want CP users to pay for source-codes.... i love this site only bcoz its completely free...and when i author articles i dont expect anything in return.... for those who want to sell the source code.. I think the unfair RAC stands for them :) ...just joking....there are other sites
