Awesome resolution

Check this out: http://www.artsnacks.com/wtc/ It's a military satelite photo of WTC after 9/11. Look at it and be amazed how detailed it is. Then you click on the link just above the image which will load a photo with a 10 times higher resolution! (Warning: in the task manager, that IE process took up approx 128 MB...) If the US military is willing to show the worls this capability, then think about what it does not want to show.. Something to think about the next time you and/or your spouse strip down in the backyard to catch some tan, thinking "Nobody will see us". ;P Sonorked as well: 100.13197 jorgen FreeBSD is sexy.

I'd personally say that's a photo taken from a Heli or aircraft. The reasons being: the US only has 4 KH-11 spy sats, and if one did take that photo, it would have had to pass EXACTLY - due to the perspective - over the site. That's no way impossible, but I'm sure they'd rather have them looking for terrorists and things than taking the time and fuel to set up an orbit specifically for taking snap shots of the WTC. The French have admitted their satellites have a resolution of 2 cm, so that means they have better resolution, which means the US has much better. Cheers, Peter Pearson

???? As you zoom in, the perspective is going to increase proportionately. Nothing strange about this photo. In fact, as for as spy sats go, it isn't that impressive. I thing also this image was taken from an aircraft. Specially the fidual marks in the corners of the images reminds me on an Hasselblad or Leica metric camera, which were used to do photogrammetry. (Which means that this camera was a analog camera an not a "digital" camera which is used in satelites now.)
