I'd personally say that's a photo taken from a Heli or aircraft. The reasons being: the US only has 4 KH-11 spy sats, and if one did take that photo, it would have had to pass EXACTLY - due to the perspective - over the site. That's no way impossible, but I'm sure they'd rather have them looking for terrorists and things than taking the time and fuel to set up an orbit specifically for taking snap shots of the WTC. The French have admitted their satellites have a resolution of 2 cm, so that means they have better resolution, which means the US has much better. Cheers, Peter Pearson

I thing also this image was taken from an aircraft. Specially the fidual marks in the corners of the images reminds me on an Hasselblad or Leica metric camera, which were used to do photogrammetry. (Which means that this camera was a analog camera an not a "digital" camera which is used in satelites now.)
