Perhaps you were originally looking for: “Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s”
I'm pretty sure I would not like to live in a world in which I would never be offended. I am absolutely certain I don't want to live in a world in which you would never be offended. Dave

On a side note, it's curious how disinterested in "major social issues" Jesus actually appeared to be. At that time, fellow Jews were crucified for minor offences like stealing; and yet we find no New Testament remarks - from Jesus or his followers - regarding "cruel and unusual punishment", etc. Why? I would tentatively suggest it's because in God's eyes the punishment is not the issue - the crime is. But it's a deep subject...
I say its because this is a state matter, and he was changing religion, not the social state. Hence, the spiritual and not material concerns.
This statement was never false.

That's funny.. what is that supposed to mean? Jewish people are forbidden to enjoy looking anything from another religion? Or rather in this case a movie? Have you seen the Buddy Jesus? Quite the strapping lad. Its all in the grin and the thumb.

Yes. It's supposed to make fun of Christianity and Christians. Coming from a couple of leftists who espouse tolerance, I'm shocked...SHOCKED that you would mock Christianity like that.

 That's good. I AM Christian. My great grandfather was a Lutheran minister, died at about 98 years old. I always took that film to focus more on how we distort Christianity (or more specifically how the Catholic Church does) rather than an attack on Christianity itself. And I also like some of the other messages it did include like having good ideas instead of just believing. So we don't get too rigid, which is something Jesus preached to the Sanhedrin. That they're religion was too static. And this I think brings up another point. You seek and you find. If you expect to see an attack you will. If you look deeper you can find other things.
This statement was never false.

Ah yes, stealing is horrendous but torturing someone to death...no biggy. Doesn't Christian morality suck?

Tell ya what.Jesus wouldn't have had a problem with a statue portraying him as a smiling, good natured guy. He'd probably want to be remember as a being who brought joy and hope to the world.
