Hi Leckey, I had to sign up to this site as someone informed me that you posted a message about me. I was just joking with Jim. As your co-workers we realize that we need to be careful of what we say otherwise we become laughing stock on the Internet. I need to tell the finance Girls to be careful too. To other visitors of this site: We co-workers of Leckey are not as stupid as they appear. Thanks Derrik.

...and not from the girls in finance! I asked my co-worker where I could find a first-aid kit. He wasn't sure so he asked another co-worker, Derrik. Jim to Derrik: "Hey, do you know where we could find a first aid kit?" Derrik's response: "Why?" Oh, I don't know, the day is long and I feel like spraying Bactine on everyone?

I don't think we have the defibrillators. I was surprised I had to go all the way to the security desk. We're in a large collection of buildings. I'm sure there are some stashed here and there; just not sure where! But I'm going to have to bring my own kit anyhow. All their band-aids had latex in them. :(

Yup. First we would have to find the First Aid kit with the appropriate MSDS sheet number attached. Then we should look up the items in the nearest MSDS cubical at the other end of the bay. After figuring we should use a butterfly band-aid to close a wound that needs stitches, we should verify the person does not have an allergy to the Latex we see on the MSDS sheet as being found on the butterfly band-aids. We should also clean up and properly dispose of the antibacterial treatment compound used on the wound, if we choose to use it, as outlined in the appropriate MSDS sheet in the liquids chapter of the MSDS manual. Or just hand him a gauze and send him to someone else to deal with the mess. ;P

Oh gawd, stop. My 15 year old daughter just discovered Lynyrd Skynyrd, and I'm going to puke if I hear Sweet Home Alabama one more time.

Actually I like Derrik. I just thought it was a D'OH moment! I hate to say it, but most of the girls in the area annoy me. The finance girls...don't get me started. Plus one has a laugh that sounds like nails down a chalkboard. The older women who work in my group spend way too much time talking about TV, how to make potato salad (that took 20 minutes the other day), etc. My boss is super cool. He leaves early for golf all the time. If he goes, we can basically go (if we want). My husband calls it Banker's Hours. Actually the people I find the nicest work in the cafeteria.

I actually brought them sweets during the holidays. I know some people look down on food workers, but I worked in a cafe through high school--I know it's hard and mostly thankless work.

Where do you work? I play golf and could join the boss when he leaves early. Hell, he might even pay for it with company funds and call it business!
