As a few of you know, I had been interviewing at a few companies outside of LA, because I'm tired of living here. On Friday, I accepted an offer from VMware[^]! :-D They're in Palo Alto[^] so I'll be moving up there and getting settled in before I officially start working there next month. The best part - they use WTL for their Win32 apps.

Congratulations to both: VMWare for getting a programmer like you and you for joining VMWare.

My mom lives there, and I spent 8 or so years there (ages 16-24) before moving to San Diego. I hate the place. :) Congested, snooty people, and expensive. The only things I like about it is are the foothill parks and the bike lanes. Well, next time we're visiting my mom, I'll send you an email and see if you want to get together for an overpriced latte at a neo-retro-modern coffee house overlooking the erudites migrating between Stanford and their upscale million dollar shantees. :) Marc

Everyone else is getting their emails, the problem is therefore at your end. Contact Chris directly if you think you've done all you can to solve it. Posting at random on the lounge is hardly a useful approach to solving your problem.

I asked them about that, and they said OSX relies on proprietary extensions to the Intel hardware. VMware would have to reverse-engineer the extensions to make OSX run in their VM.
